SEED - Drosophyllum lusitanicum - Dewy Pine - 10+ Per Packet

Drosophyllum lusitanicum, or Dewy Pine, is a beautiful plant with a unique honey scent that attracts prey. When grown outdoors, it is often covered in the remains of insects that fell for its trap. Additionally, it boasts lovely yellow flowers.

Sowing instructions:

• Sow on top of peat, not sphagnum. 
• Ensure good airflow too prevent mould growing on the surface of the media.
• Keep pot in bright lights to full sun.
• Once you have sowed the seed place the pot in a zip-lock bag in the fridge for 3 months to simulate winter to ensure best germination results.
• If sowing after spring ensure the pot stays warm (like in the house) through Autumn and Winter to ensure you don't lose your seedling before they establish themselves as plants.
• Keep the pot standing in water at all times so the seed/seedling don't dry out.
• Drosophyllum hate being repotted and it may kill them so if you need to transplant ensure you do it before the plant is 5 cm tall, the earlier the better. 
• Harvested 2025.
