Utricularia subulata, also known as the Zigzag Bladderwort, is a perennial plant that thrives in sandy peat and constant moisture. Its wiry flower stalk bends at each node, giving it a distinct zigzag appearance.
During early Spring, this plant produces small bright yellow flowers which can attract insects for pollination. However, if conditions are not favourable, the flowers will remain closed and self-pollinate.
